Ooooff, my date on Saturday went ok.. A very nice guy, just no real spark. Oddly, if I were looking for something more long term, we might have moved forward, I think the spark could have ignited. But I am adamant about keeping my heart out of it.
Sometimes, it makes me sad that I have no interest in the romantic side of things, but then I remember the heartbreak and how hard I have worked to build a life for myself. I realize that sounds like a cop out, but I did struggle for years to get where I am and I do believe that I am fabulous.
It is not that I do not want to care about someone, nor do I not want to be cared about, it just seems that the world we live in has driven us, with our need for instant gratification, to the point of taking each other for granted.

For some time, I have had the feeling that I am evolving.. not sure where I am going... But while drifting, I am revisiting some of my old erotic stories and posting them on a different venue.

seems be working, my resolve remain positive. I feel better and have been in high gear since yesterday. Smiling more, seeing people smile back. That positive energy saw me through a late night of work and an early morning of writing, productive writing.
AAAAAAaaaaaaaaannnd.. I have a "date" tomorrow, funny how we throw the word date around. This is a public meeting with a very attractive man that is about 90 miles away and might actually turn into a FWB situation. Wow! I could actually get laid.
I normally don't consider playing on the first meet, but unbeknownst to my potential partner, I already know he is, our families have known each other for a long time. Besides, if I am going drive that far, I would like think will be more than a chat in a park.

Wow! I just re-read all of my blog posts and am shocked at how negative they sound. That is not who I am, it is not who I intend to be, however I find it curious that I am using this platform to vent. When I read my personal journal, I am not seeing the negativity.
I work very hard at finding the positive in all situations, I really do try to do the nicest thing I can in any given moment and brighten someone else's day!
Going forward, I want to thank each and every one of you that has responded to my posts with positive statements, kind words, humor and affirmation. There are some really nice people here and I am going to try to not let the not so nice ones affect me so much.

Well except for myself and even then a couple of errors in judgement recently have led me wonder if I shouldn't be questioning my own motives or sanity.
One hard and fast rule that I used have was if someone is dragging their feet about actually meeting, then I move on. Another, was if more than one cancellation happens in a row.. then I move on.
Well, was this guy, this guy I kinda liked, even more than just for a hookup, he said all the right things... Yep, shoulda known.. weeks, weeks I waited.. and strike three.
Some investigation.. a little online snooping and yeah... he lied about everything except his , I believe that he even lied about being horny. Another dang keyboard jockey.
Oh Well! Now more determined than ever. I will get laid and I will get laid on my own terms!

If nothing else this site has definitely shown me the best and the worst of people.
I don't know why I am always surprised when someone rude reaches out to me and lately it is happening more and more. Often enough that I am even more surprised when someone reaches out politely.
Even more surprising is when I bite back at rude guy and it surprises him.
Dudes, take a courtesy lesson and a chill pill!
